Effective date: October 18, 2026
This policy explains what information BarCamLive (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit barcamlive.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: we don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t sell your personal information, and we collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply and to act on your request, such as adding, updating or removing a cam listing.
- Server logs. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and keeping the site running, and are kept only for a limited time.
- Cookies. BarCamLive itself does not set cookies for regular visitors. Some third-party services described below may set their own cookies.
We do not offer user accounts or comments, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
Embedded videos and links to other sites
Many cams on BarCamLive are shown through players embedded from YouTube. When you load a page with an embedded player, YouTube (owned by Google) may collect information such as your IP address and may set cookies, according to Google’s Privacy Policy. Where possible, we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which limits cookies until you play a video.
Other cams are provided by the venues or their partners on their own websites. When you follow a link to watch a cam elsewhere, you leave BarCamLive, and that site’s own privacy policy applies. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the practices of third-party sites.
The cams themselves are operated by their owners. BarCamLive does not record, store or rebroadcast any video.
Analytics, advertising and affiliate links
We may in the future use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, show advertising, or include affiliate links (for example, to hotels or tours near a cam), which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. These services may use cookies or similar technologies. If we add them, we will update this policy to name the services used and explain how to opt out.
How we use and share information
We use the limited information we collect to operate and secure the site, respond to your messages, and improve BarCamLive. We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (such as our web host), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of BarCamLive and its visitors.
Data retention and security
We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your request and for our ordinary records. Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider. We use reasonable measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
BarCamLive features bars and nightlife and is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
